Peter's study

In Peter learning resource, he focus on the Chinese culture context, which found out that the factors which influence new Chinese immigrants on New Zealand E-government adoption and use.This resources also talk about based on information technology adoption and considering Chinese cultural characteristics, especial Confucius culture in China.This article proposes a user developed IT evaluation model composed of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived fit.,for investigating how the new Chinese immigrants influences the e-government services in New Zealand.

Jason's study

In Jason's research, Jason will focus on India immigrants in New Zealand, since India immigrants was ranked No. 3 in the total population of immigrants by nationality from 1997 to 2007 (Immigration New Zealand, 2007). Thus, base on India cultural context, through using diffusion of innovation theory, the purpose of Jason's research will try to find out the factors which influence India immigrants' adoption and use of New Zealand e-government services, and the details of his research will be shown on Jason's individual learning resource.

Abstract

Nowadays, as increases in the adoption of imformation technologies around the world, more and more public governments adopt information technologies to enhance the access to and delivery of government services to benefit citizens, business partners, and employees. In our research, the main research area is the impact of national culture on e-government adoption and use. In addition, Jason's study will mainly base on Diffusion of Innovation Theory (DOI), in order to find out the factors which influence India immigrants' adoption and use of New Zealand e-government services. Meanwhile, base on Chinese context, Peter's study through mainly using TAM and Zhang et al.'s model, in order to find out the factors which influence Chinese immigrants' adoption and use of New Zealand e-government services. Therefore, this Blog is an important part of our MSYS555 group research proposal assignment, and it will detail our research proposals, also, it will provide an annotated bibliography of references which relate to our research area. Finally, it can be seen as a learning resource which would be helpful and valueable to IS researchers.
